Dr. Ivan Madzharov

Dr. Ivan Madzharov was elected Vice-Chairman on September 28, 2024, during the 77th regular reporting and election assembly of the Bulgarian Medical Association. For two consecutive terms prior to this, spanning 6 years, he served as Chairman of the BMA Management Board (June 2018 – September 2024). Before heading the BMA, he was the manager of MBAL “Pulmed” in Plovdiv and Chairman of the Management Board of the Bulgarian Hospital Association. From 2013 to 2014, he was the director of RHIF Plovdiv. From 2008 to 2013, he was the manager of MBAL “Parvomai” Ltd. From 1994 to 2008, he worked as a resident physician in the ENT Department at MBAL “Plovdiv” in Plovdiv. Dr. Ivan Madzharov graduated from the Medical University of Plovdiv. He holds a specialty in “Ear, Nose and Throat Diseases” and a Master’s degree in Healthcare Management.
