NHIF and GLS start negotiations for Annex to R & D 2020-2022
The National Health Insurance Fund and the Bulgarian Medical Union shall start negotiations for Annex to the National Framework Treaty 2020-2022 . This became clear during a meeting that was held today, June 1, between the Minister of Health Dr. Stoycho Katsarov, the President of the BLS Dr. Ivan Madjarov and the NHIF manager Prof. Petko Salchev. They agreed to find solutions to the main health insurance issues.
In the annex to the R & D, the following priorities will be included:
· Effective application of the "money follow the patient" in unconditional respect for its right to choose a healing establishment,
· Reduce disproportions in the payment of medical labor by changing the prices of medical activities,
· Increase the number, type and pay of outpatient activities.
NHIF and BLS will negotiate for:
· Change in the funding methodology under unfavorable conditions,
· Introduction of an electronic document of the disease history, electronic drug delivery protocols, removal of the paper record book and others related to the digitization of the health system,
· Change in the terms and conditions for the provision of urgent medical assistance to eliminate the 24-hour placement of general practitioners.
