We note the day of salvation!
On August 15, since 2005, at the initiative of Dr. Totko Naydenov, we celebrate the Day of Salvation. On this date in 1963, the 26-year-old section of the Sagittari village Dr. Stefan Cherkezov without hesitation, he saved 47 people from a burning bus, and the next day he died due to the burns obtained from the burns. His moral act becomes the embodiment of self-denial in the name of salvaged human life. That's why I honored the memory of young medical, as well as the heroism of all our compatriots - doctors, medical professionals, firefighters, rescuers, volunteers, mining, water, mountain rescuers and civilians who died without time, saving the life of another.
By the beginning of 2020, when the world faced the Covid-19 challenge, in our country the names of over 130 doctors and 20 nurses died at work, from exhaustion, after infestation with diseases of their patients or in a crash with an ambulance.
Only during the Covid-19 pandemic, helping to their patients, their lives have lost more than 120 medical doctors, health care professionals, sanitary and ambulance drivers.
