Bulgarian doctors finally have their own home

Just before the 122nd anniversary of the founding of the Medical Union, the Bulgarian medics finally have their own home.

The Bulgarian Medical Union has completed the deal to acquire a new building, which is a kind of home for the medics. It is located on Dospat Street in Sofia, next to Pirogov Hospital. The headquarters of the BMA, which has been housed in the National Center for Public Health and Analysis, is to be housed (15 Ivan Evstratiev Geshov Blvd.

It is recalled that in May, this year, the 74th Council of the professional organization decided to invest and give a mandate to the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian Medical Association for the beginning of negotiations to buy a building of doctors in the capital. So after months of hard work, the deal is already a fact.

The purchase of the building from the Bulgarian Medical Association is not bound in any way with the plot in the yard of the Medical Academy, which is owned by the professional organization and at which time it is not possible to build a building because of a lawsuit.

The Bulgarian Medical Association is the second established worldwide association of medics with over 32,000 members at this point, which for the first time, after more than a century, will have their own home!
