Dr. Dimitar Ganichev-One Run to the victory

Dr. Dimitar Ganichev graduated from MU-Plovdiv in December 2019. He is from Chepelare-the city that connects it with winter sports.

Dimitar was born in 1994. He completed his primary education at Vasil Dechev High School in Chepelare, after which he was admitted to the Vasil Levski High School of Mathematics in Smolyan, a class with mathematics and computer science, although biology was always his favorite subject. We talk to Dr. Ganichev about the difficult decisions, elections and path of a young doctor in Bulgaria.

-Dr. Ganichev, you now graduated at MU-Plovdiv? What is the feeling?

-To tell you honestly, I was already shudder because my summer passed with thoughts about the upcoming graduation, and then there was a thrill, excitement, but the exams began and there was no time to pay attention to emotions. But definitely the feeling that these are the final efforts and have been behind my back for years, is very nice.

-And from here on, what's ahead?

-For me, there are two options for me. One is related to my hobby and the other is to what I finished. In the long run, I plan to specialize, but I plan to start in an emergency in order to get experience and self-confidence and be at the same time close to the slopes so that I can train in my spare time.

-You mentioned the accumulated fatigue from learning, and you have a rather extreme hobby-snowboarding. How did you combine difficult medical follow with it?

-Yes, this is an extreme sport. It's hard, a fact. However, I have experience - I have been driving a snowboard of 2nd grade and since then I've been in a situation to combine the hobby with learning. And it was quite difficult in high school because they did not want to be released for competitions. Logically, it was the hardest thing for me in winter sessions when the races were. I compromised in both directions - I delayed exams and missed training. In the end, things turned out. Now I graduated from one, and in the other I am one of the best in Bulgaria.

-your hobby is actually at a professional level?

-Yes, I am a professional competitor of Amer Sports-Chepelare and we compete at national and international level. In March I participated in the 29th International University Games in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia. MU-Plovdiv took the cost of my participation, for which I am very grateful.

-And what awards have you won?

-I did not get off the ladder from the child. I am a multiple carrier at the Hope Cup-this is Overall-at the end of the season the competitor with the most points receives it. I have won it two or three times as a child, and as a young man I have been repeatedly a Republican champion, as a student I am a six -time university champion for Bulgaria ...
