She described the whole illogical and difficult path that patients should go while diagnosed.
"We either send them to a laboratory to pay tests, or I can direct them to a specialist, to issue a referral, to take a walk, to go through the registry and wait to see if the specialist can take it the same day or leave it for another. Obviously, GPs are not a specialist. Combating epidemics is a matter of national security. We cannot make decisions that limit us. It is not a solution for anyone to pay the tests, "the specialist was adamant. She explained that it was very important for the doctor to know the exact diagnosis, because this determines the therapeutic approach.
"It is important for us whether we treat Covid or other disease. Proper diagnostics also treat the virus properly. Over 80% of people are treated at home. Of the remaining 20% 15%, they reach a hospital, only 5% to a fatal outcome, "she said.
Dr. Nikolova also touched on the topic of Covid immunity and emphasized that this infection has no permanent immunity, as is the case with chicken pox.
