Dr. Ivan Madjarov: Medics have to get their 1000 leva bonuses to treat Covid
"Additional money for medics are provided by the state budget, not from health insurance contributions. Ie The NHIF is just one mailbox - through it the money goes and pays to colleagues. " This was said the chairman of the Bulgarian medical union Dr. Ivan Madjarov in the "Hi, Bulgaria" studio.
"This money is for the people who have participated in the treatment and diagnosis of COVID-19 patients," he said.
"I think that at this stage doctors will receive the bonus of BGN 1,000 because there is an intended buffer of 600 million in the budget of the state as recorded to the NHIF budget, which is for this purpose," Madjarov said.
Madjarov asked the management of the Health Ministry and NHIF funds to be provided for employed in laboratories and X-ray cabinets. "So far they are not included, which is not honest," he said.
"I hope in the summer watching a little more calmly to things and not to talk so much about the situation with Covid-19," he commented on the epidemic setting
