Dr. Madjarov called for 70% parity in paying our medics compared to the other in the EU
On the occasion of the International Health and Professional Festival of all health workers, "social network" sought the chairman of the Bulgarian M edical Association. Dr. Ivan Madjarov commented the tests faced by the medics in the last year and thanked everyone who joined the initiative for a one-minute silence in memory workers who lost the battle with Covid-19.
"I want to thank everyone who participated in the initiative at 12 am with a minute of silence to honor the memory of the colleagues who lost their lives," said Dr. Madjarov.
In his words this year has given us the opportunity to take stock that the state and society have to realize that the healthcare system can not be built with days and months, and when we make a decision today, it is reflected for years.
Doctors who leave Bulgaria do not come back easily because they find conversion there. We need to achieve parity to keep them, namely 70% pay parity compared to other EU countries. The homeland should create them conditions.
The number of doctors in our country has increased by 500-600 newcomers.
