Fear and disinformation are the main reasons people in Bulgaria do not want to vaccinate. This was said in the air of "Your Day" Deputy Chairman of the GLS and part of the expert advice of the Health Ministry Dr. Nikolay Brunzalov. In his words, a new vaccination strategy is needed.
"We are last in Europe on vaccination. A new vaccination strategy is needed in which efforts to target social networks that provide a major source of information. The conductor of information, however, from the right place to the consumer should be shortened so that there is no fear in people. It is the fear that is why they are not willing to vaccinate. All efforts should be thrown into social networks and when the wrong information appears, it is contradicted by specialists, "he explained.
"Scientists have already shown that mixing two vaccines immunity increased enormously. It would be good to consider the term between the second and third booster dose to be reduced, "Deputy Chaird.
According to a specialist serious problem for Bulgaria, which is likely to remain after the pandemic, is the high mortality and the impossibility of adequately monitored patients' chronic diseases.
"We lose a lot of people everyday. Bulgarians are indignant to imposed LocDAns in other European countries, but therefore the mortality is much lower. The level of vaccinated is also much greater. The imposition of additional measures in our country is a political solution that doctors comply with. But what sense has more measures, and they are not respected, "said Dr. Brunzalov. He also commented that the vaccination provides the necessary protection, regardless of which variant of the coronavirus we will face.
