Why did you decide to engage in medicine? What motivation is behind your solution? (Do you have members in your family who are medics?
My decision to follow medicine is a long and aware of choices that I can not specify as a given time. There are no other doctors in my family. From my first meetings with doctors as their patient, I admire their capabilities and knowledge, their desire to help people. In my seasonal period, I felt that this was what I want to do. I was more interested in the medical profession, I talked to the doctors I knew and so I was convinced that medicine was my vocation.
What do you attract this specialty with?
I chose to be a medical doctor for countless reasons, two of which always emerge in the first place in my mind. First of all, the desire to help people and see the smiles of their faces, "I have already experienced this feeling as a student, a trainee while working during his studies, and wish I could feel more uncountable as a doctor. The other reason is science - from a small one I have a deeper interest in studying different sciences - initially mathematics, then foreign languages, and in consequence chemistry and biology, and for this purpose I almost always attended extra-curricular activities - I always wanted to upgrade the foundation taught at school. Medicine is a vast science in which one every day can learn something new, and even more exciting, to participate in discoveries and write science. As a doctor, I'm sure that I have no thirst for knowledge and science to be quenched - we live in times of unprecedented scientific and technological uptime, we find something new every day.
Is it difficult to become a golden hippocrates for medicine? What did this title cost you?
The title Golden Hippocrates accept as a reward and recognition of all the efforts made over the years. In medicine all the sciences are extremely connected to each other - to be a good doctor need to have a wide knowledge, sometimes extending far beyond your interests. This award symbolizes the perseverance and respect I have approached any discipline in my quest to develop a broad-spectrum medical culture - I believe it will be useful both to my future patients as well as myself. Behind this awards are quite hours over the textbooks, many days spent in a variety of hospitals, be as a student, a volunteer or working, but with the hand of the heart I can say that it was worth it.
