National Council of GLS: unreasonable and irrational is the complete dropping of the paper recipe

The National Council of Bulgarian Medical Union is strongly opposed to the full dropping of the paper recipe. The professional organization supports the digitization of the sector, but without being at the expense of limiting the rights of doctors and patients.

The changes set to Ordinance No 4 on the conditions and procedure for prescribing and lending medicinal products published for public discussion are unreasonable, non-driven and will only result in additional voltage on the "patient" axis.

Moreover: They violate patients' rights and prevent doctors in the performance of their official duties. With the dropping out of the paper recipe, situations in which a physician outside its office will be able to prescribe treatment and to be in favor of its patients.

The changes set also a number of important questions:

Why are paper recipes apply throughout Europe, and in our country is planned to drop out?

How will patient therapy be displayed by emergency teams and during home visits?

How will foreign citizens be served who come to a holiday in Bulgaria and have to be prescribed therapy?

And many other questions that remain unanswered.

Therefore: The National Council of the BLS insists the paper recipe to continue to apply in parallel with the electronic one and reminds: The doctor is a doctor at any time, not only in working time, in front of his computer!
