BLS: Aggression over medics should stop
The Bulgarian Medical Union condemns another case of aggression at the Hospital Dobrich, in which glass was broken at the hospital, and a nurse was injured in the incident.
In a visible intoxicated condition, a man was raging in the hospital, and at the same time, his wife was taken care of in the AG - the ward of the Hospital Dobrich.
Such behavior is ugly, unworthy and extremely offensive. Aggression over medics is one of the reasons for the personnel crisis in Bulgaria, and Dobrich district is among areas with the most acute shortage of doctors.
The Bulgarian Medical Association is adamant that they will not tolerate medics to be humiliated, harassment and attacked while trying to fulfill their duties.
