BLS expresses condolences to the family and relatives of Dr. Petya Semerdzhieva, a personal doctor from Smolyan and Dr. Gecho Zhekov, Director of MBAL-Razgrad
The Bulgarian Medical Union expresses its deep condolences to the families, relatives and colleagues of Dr. Gecho Zhekov Director of the Hospital “St. Ivan Rilski ”, Razgrad and Dr. Petya Semerdzhieva from Smolyan.
Dr. Zhekov graduated in medicine at the Medical University - Varna in 1981. He acquired a specialty in ENT diseases at the Medical University - Sofia in 1985. He worked as a doctor and head of the Department of ENT at the hospital in Razgrad.
Since 2017 he has been the executive director of the hospital.
Dr. Petya Semerdzhieva was born in 1964 and graduated from medicine from the Medical University of Plovdiv. She has worked for many years as a resident in the neonatology ward at the Hospital "Dr. Bratan Shukerov" in Smolyan, and subsequently thirteen years as a general practitioner.
