BLS: Do not reach for the medics!
The Bulgarian Medical Association categorically condemns another case of attack on a doctor. A nurse from the Emergency Department of the Pernik Hospital Hospital "Rahila Angelova" was struck by a patient while trying to help him.
Such behavior is ugly, unworthy and extremely offensive. Aggression over medics is one of the reasons for the acute staffing crisis in the sector, and in healthcare professionals it is most tangible. It is absolutely unacceptable while a medical person tries to fulfill his debt against him to be aggression.
The Bulgarian Medical Association is adamant that they will not tolerate medics to be humiliated, harassment and attacked while trying to fulfill their duties.
