About : Proposal for awarding Professor Dr. Todor Kantardzhiev with the Stara Planina Order

The Management Board of Bulgarian Medical Association proposes to issue a decree for awarding Prof. Dr. Todor Kantardzhiev, PhD, M.Sm. with Stara Planina Order, exceptional achievements and an invaluable contribution to science and medicine.
Its contribution to the struggle with treacherous disease and mastering the Covid-19 pandemic in our country, which is largely due to its decisions, reasonable advice and timely action. He and his team found the British variant of the coronavirus on our territory.
On the latest prestigious awards of the Bulgarian Medical Union, the medical guild, distinguished Prof. Dr. Kantardzhiev in the special category "Combating Pandemics - Kovid 19".
Professor Dr. Todor Mesolov Kantardzhiev Department, MA., graduated from the Medical Academy Sofia in 1981 as a doctor.
From 1981 to 1982 he worked in Belovo, since 1982 he was a research associate in the Department of Military Epidemiology and Military Hygiene. Since 1988 he has been in the NCAB, he has consistently guided the laboratory sector, a laboratory, a United Laboratory and 1992 - a microbiology department. In 1986 he acquired a specialty microbiology in 2001 - clinical immunology and in 2004 specialty epidemiology of infectious diseases.
Prof. Dr. Kantardzhiev is a doctor of medicine since 1991, and Doctor of Medical Sciences was from 2008 Associate was 1995, a professor from 2009 in 2004 acquired a Master's degree in Health Management at Sofia . He has specialized in Germany and the UK.
Membership in professional organizations: Chairman of the Bulgarian Association of Microbiologists, - Chairman of a Scientific Society of Microbiology, Member of the Management Board of the European Confederation for Medical Mycology, Member of the Bodian Board of the Balkan Society of Microbiology, Member of France Mycological Companies, Germany, Switzerland and Luxembourg, Member of the American Society of Microbiology, Member of the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Contagious Diseases.
