The duration of isolation is reduced from 14 to 10 days and quarantine from 10 to 7 days

Since today, January 11, the persons with confirmed Covid-19 are subject to compulsory isolation for a period of 10 days from the date of confirmatory laboratory examination. All the close contact of a coronavirus infection is subject to 7-day quarantine as from the date of their last contact with the confirmed case. This orders the Minister of Health Prof. Asena Sergevoza with his order issued today.

The Director of the relevant regional health inspection may annul the prescription to quarantine a close contact person, provided it has an additional (booster) dose of COVID-19 vaccine. The condition is the person to provide an e-mail a negative result from 72 hours from the post-quarantine PCR study. The quarantine is canceled within 24 hours of presentation of the document.

With the same order, the condition for a mandatory 14-day isolation has been repealed after a medical establishment.

The prescriptions for isolation and quarantine issued at the time of entry into force shall be suspended after the expiry of the term specified therein.
