For the holiday, the pediatrician from Shumen received a specially designed statuette from the Bulgarian Medical Union.

Tradition commands to maintain a moment's silence at exactly 12 o'clock in front of the doors of medical establishments, accompanied by the sirens included in ambulances.

The initiative committee for street name was headed by Boyan Slavenkov. The initiative was also supported by the Bulgarian Medical Union.

The sentence they received is the maximum that the law provides.

"The Bulgarian Medical Union will not cease to help every Bulgarian doctor to whom aggression is manifested, whether it is physical or verbal."

The event is organized by the Southeastern European Medical Forum (SEP) and will be held in the period 08 to 11 September 2022, in Plovdiv and Smolyan, Bulgaria.
